How important is the church to you? If you are like most Catholics the church plays a significant role throughout your life. Our faith journey begins at birth when our parents bring us to church to be baptized; then again when we make our first communion and reconciliation. In our teen years, it is our turn to commit ourselves to serving God through the sacrament of confirmation. Then on perhaps the most important day of our life, our wedding day, we gather in church once again to place ourselves before God. Then the cycle begins anew. There are many other moments in life when we turn to the church for help such as a health crisis or the death of a loved one. Many people have fond memories of attending a Catholic school or university.
Whatever route your journey of faith has led you, you have an opportunity to help others on their journey of faith by contributing to an endowment fund held at the Catholic Foundation. Only a small amount of your gift is spent each year, about 4%, but over time your money grows to provide funding for your parish, school or favorite ministry program in perpetuity. Donating to an endowment fund is the perfect way to create a legacy of faith.
