CATHOLIC FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES HONOREES AND DATE FOR 2008 CORNERSTONE GALA

TUCSON, November 26, 2007 — The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Tucson will host its annual Cornerstone Gala on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa. The honorees for the evening will be Ms. Ginny Clements and Monsignor Robert D. Fuller.

Ms. Clements is the former CEO of Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc. She has served on numerous boards and committees including Angel Charities, The University of Arizona Foundation, Steele Children’s Research Center, Muscular Dystrophy Association and Catholic Foundation, just to name a few. Msgr. Fuller has been a priest in the Diocese of Tucson for 51 years. He is the founding pastor of St. Pius X Parish in Tucson and former Director of the Renew program. He currently serves as pastor of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Tucson.

Ms. Jane Kerr, a member of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Foundation, will serve as chair of the 2008 Cornerstone Gala committee. She will lead a team of more than two dozen volunteers who will help plan the celebration. More than 500 people attended last year’s Gala which netted $100,000.

Established in 1986, the Cornerstone Gala is the premiere fundraising event of the Catholic Foundation. Proceeds from the evening go to support the Foundation and the Cornerstone Fund, which was established to meet some of the most pressing needs in the Diocese.
